Saturday, October 17th, 2009The next few weeks will be busy, busy. I’m currently rehearsing my ass off for three upcoming performances, as well as planning an act for Dr. Sketchy’s. Add to all that, DiscFUNKtional and you get… Ahhhhh!
Ok, so tonight is Dr. Sketchy’s and DiscFUNKtional. This month’s model is Bootstraps Burlesque’s Britta and we’re getting a bit spooky in celebration of Halloween. Ever see a zombie en pointe? Well, you will if you come out to Eleven on Grove…
Immediately following Sketchy’s is DiscFUNKtional. DJ Drees and I will be spinning our standard “anything goes” format. And since it’s close to Halloween, we’ll throw in some spookiness for good measure…
Speaking of Halloween, I’ll be performing in two spooky shows this year. First up, Theatre de Fetiche has been invited to open for Seduction Sideshow’s ‘Grotesque Burlesque’ event taking place at Club 828, Friday October 23rd. Lady Vixen and I are super excited about this, as the Seduction performers are awesome people…

And if that isn’t enough, join me and the rest of Bootstraps Burlesque, Halloween night in Knoxville, TN. Bootstraps will be taking Club 4620 Reinvented by storm as we roll out our Vintage Vixens and Vamps boo-lesque and sideshow revue. We’ll be sharing the bill with the band Soundtrack Black and bringing along the one and only Sneaky McFly to add to what will surely be sin-sational shenanigans and epic debauchery… *grin*

Also on November 7th, it’s the debut of DJ Drees’s new event, ShellShock, at the Boiler Room, featuring goth, industrial, ebm, and dark electro music. This will be the official Bootstraps after party event! Just a five dollar cover, with DJ Drees and special guest JuSt GeNe from Augusta, GA. Just what the spooky kids have been waiting for!
And don’t forget $5 all you can drink beer Thursdays at Scandals. As part of the local DJ circuit, DJ Drees and I mix it up every first Thursday with 80s and 90’s dance music. From the obscure to the silly and everything in between, we just wanna make you sweat… or dance with somebody… *giggle*
